Dr. Jennifer Amezquita

Jennifer has been a valued member of the El Paso/Las Cruces community since 2008. As an Army Veteran with over 20 years in the medical field, she is deeply committed to serving those around her. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from New Mexico State University and is board-certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). Jennifer’s extensive experience and dedication are evident in her holistic approach to mental health care. She offers services across the lifespan, including therapy and medication management, with a strong passion for supporting the well-being of her clients. Her combination of military service and medical expertise underscores her commitment to making a positive impact in her community.

Lisa D. Karr

With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Lisa specializes in brain health, trauma recovery, and neurological wellness. Her expertise includes traumatic brain injuries (TBI), stroke recovery, post-concussive syndrome, anoxic brain injuries, and neuroinflammatory conditions—all of which benefit from tailored brain support strategies.

Lisa is also skilled in addressing PTSD, dissociation, and caregiver support, utilizing Mindfulness-Based Existential Therapy (MBET) and integrating Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) therapy to help individuals reconstruct neural pathways, shift habits, and enhance a more peaceful life. Her approach utilizes neuroscience, behavioral optimization, and integrative care to promote long-term healing.

John Mann

John is a dedicated mental health professional with over two decades of experience in counseling, rehabilitation, and program management. John is a 12 year Navy Veteran where he developed strong leadership, problem-solving, and discipline skills. After his service John worked for three years at the Indian River Detention Center, helping individuals successfully reintegrate into society after incarceration. He then spent four years as an Addiction Counselor before transitioning to working with at-risk youth—serving as both a counselor in a boys' home and an in-home counselor for low-income families.
Building on his expertise, John took on a leadership role as a Program Manager, where he spent four years overseeing a team of Direct Care Staff, Service Coordinators, and Supervisors. In this role, he ensured quality care and support for individuals with severe mental health and developmental disabilities. Later, he returned to direct client care as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, dedicating five years to working exclusively with students at Las Cruces High School, providing counseling and support to help students with disabilities navigate their education and future careers.
Now, John brings his wealth of experience to mental health counseling, applying his deep understanding of diverse populations and complex needs. His career has been defined by a commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges, whether through addiction recovery, youth intervention, disability support, and mental health counseling. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, John continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those he serves.

Pearl has dedicated herself to her career in the field of mental health for over 10 years. Her unwavering commitment and passion for helping others have made her an invaluable partner and asset to the team. During her career, Pearl has consistently demonstrated her expertise and professionalism, earning the trust and admiration of both her calleagues and clients. Pearl's impact on patient care cannot be overstated. Her dedication , expertise and genuine desire to help others have contributed to her personal growth and success and to that of any team she is a part of. 

Dr. Jacquelynn Strait

Clinical Psychologist, PhD

Dr. Jacquelyn Strait (Dr. Jacque) is a licensed psychologist with over 19 years of experience within the helping professions, and 12 years of experience providing therapy and assessment services. She has provided psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults over the course of her career. Currently, Dr. Jacque specializes in providing mentalhealth services to adults. Dr. Jacque graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science-Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. Dr. Jacque completed her internship training at the Texas Tech University Student Counseling Center, providing individual therapy, group therapy, and outreach services to students, faculty, and staff. She completed her post-doctoral internship at a neuropsychology private practice in Houston, Texas. Dr. Strait is currently attending New Mexico State University to receive a post-doctoral master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology, in hopes to receive prescriptive authority in the future.

Heather Quiroz

Heather is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University with a master's in social. Heatheralso received her bachelor's in communication studies and a minor in sociology from New Mexico State University. Heather has been working with individuals, children, and families in both New Mexico and Texas for over seven years. She has experience working in infant mental health, early Head Start, foster care, domestic violence, teen mental health, and trauma. Heather is trained in EMDR therapy and works with adults and children. Heather is a board-approved superviser for both social workers and counselors. â€‹
